Still hate this place...
This wasn't anything particularly special, and cooke is right about dl counts being self-perpetuating.
I got my self bloodied up by those meathead bouncers for taking a picture during froglegs then tossed out the back door. I still had my gear set up, luckily had friends in there that broke it down. Wish they let it run tho because the first set came out great, lol.

Uh, not an idiot...
The reviewer is totally right about this being an odd choice for "most downloaded" tDB show, but once these things get started, they're self-perpetuating.
The show itself is average to subpar - it's nowhere remotely as good as the following night, but the Solstice -> Confrontation -> Waves is very good and one of the better Waves endings in the past 5+ years. But the first set is a throwaway, and that Basis intro jam is terrible with Magner wasting space on a stagnant sample instead of pushing the jam.

lot of crowd noise
You can hear a lot of loud WOOOOOOOOOs and people talking loudly. It's a bit distracting.

a shame indeed
I can actually make out the entire conversation these people are having next to the mic.
The show may have been off the hook, but since I wasn't there I'd rather listen to a different recording where I can hear just the Biscuits and not this guys lame conversation about hunting.

Has its moments.
Set I was basically a throwaway. But given the intensity of set II, I can see why they wanted to save their energy. The basis intro is interesting, but a little too heavy on the vocal samples. They sound somewhat awkward. The switch into floodlights was pretty cool and unexpected, though I would've preferred a basis jam. The real mean of this show is the confrontation> waves (><)> basis. Seriously intense stuff. The encore is a bit rushed, but very good nevertheless.
